Your mental focus and martial study have rendered your will into an unbreakable iron wall. When someone targets you with a spell that seeks to erode your willpower, you steel yourself against the attack.
Between your devoted study, iron will, and supreme focus, you have learned to resist attempts to subvert your willpower. When you feel such an effect try to cloud your mind, you can draw on untapped reserves of energy to counter the attempt.
You can use this maneuver any time you would be required to make a Will save. Make a Concentration check instead of the Will save and use the result of that check to determine the save’s success. You must use this maneuver before you attempt the Will save. A result of a natural 1 on your Concentration check is not an automatic failure.

Your study your enemy for a brief moment, watching his defensive maneuvers and making a strike timed to take advantage of a lull in his vigilance.
The sapphire nightmare blade is one of the most basic, but important, maneuvers that a Diamond Mind adept studies. It illustrates that a keen mind can pierce even the toughest defenses.
You attempt a Concentration check as part of this maneuver, using the target creature’s AC as the DC of the check. You then make a single melee attack against your target. The attack is also part of this maneuver. If your Concentration check succeeds, the target is fl at-footed against your attack, and you deal an extra 1d6 points of damage. If your check fails, your attack is made with a –2 penalty and deals normal damage.
Punishing Stance

You chop down violently with your weapon, lending extra force to your blows. These attacks come at a cost, as your enemies slash at your undefended legs and flanks.
You hold your weapon overhead, allowing you to chop down with superior force. However, this fighting stance leaves you vulnerable to an opponent’s attacks. Only an initiate of the Iron Heart tradition can manage the perilous balance between trading attack power for defense. A lesser warrior would leave himself nearly helpless to resist an opponent’s attacks.
While you are in this stance, you deal an extra 1d6 points of damage with all melee attacks. You also take a –2 penalty to AC, because this fighting stance emphasizes power over a defensive posture.

Характер:Неразговорчив, чтобы не сказать нелюдим, спокоен, и уравновешен. Если говорит - говорит неторопливо. Создаёт впечатление увальня. Однако те, кто с ним ссорился, утверждают, что он не только способен напугать, но и умеет двигаться быстро.
История:Отто Швальмейстер имел небольшую ферму на побережье, однако почти не занимался крестьянским делом. Всё на ферме делала его супруга, Берта, а также наёмные рабочие. Но несмотря на такое пренебрежение хозяйством, даже в неурожайные годы семье Швальмейстеров хватало на жизнь и даже с избытком. Потому как Отто был признанным мастером меча, и не простого меча, а цвайхандера - поэтому его услуги в качестве наёмника, али преподавателя утончённого танца с огромным двуручником всегда были востребованы. К моменту рождения сына, Геберхарда, Отто уже скопил приличную сумму, чтобы отойти от дел и посвятить себя воспитанию наследника. Мальчик был сильным и крепким, с клочковатыми рыжими волосами, веснушками, обильно покрывающими лицо и руки - в общем красотой не блистал. Был относительно ловок и не глуп - отцовские наставления запоминал сразу, как разумом, так и телом, чего нельзя было сказать о дальновидности. Геберхард рвался в приключения, наслушавшись сказок о рыцарях, драконах и прекрасных принцессах - тем более что отношения с противоположным полом особо не складывались.
И вот, в 19 лет, сочтя обучение отпрыска законченным (а надо сказать что особо нравилось Геберхарду ловким ударом громадного меча разбить щит партнёра по учению), отец снабдил его своим заслуженным цвайхандером, трофейной кольчужкой, да новеньким катцбальгером - не пачкать же благородное оружие попусту, и выставил за порог с напутствием: "Ступай сынок. Учись уму-разуму, нас с матерью не забывай, и не вздумай называться Шальмейстером, пока не поймёшь, что заслужил эту фамилию". Мать присовокупила к этому домашней еды на пару дней (при желании ЭТОГО хватило бы на неделю), да маленький кошель серебра на пиво.
И вот, не имею ничего, кроме отцовского цвайхандера, имени без фамилии, да жажды приключений, Геберхард объявился к городе.
