Doctor Hydra's greatest scientific breakthrough is his cloning technology, which he is still perfecting and constantly using in field trials... most often to create copies of himself or for dubious scientific experiments!
1 XP, each time you create a Resource or Assets with clones, or copy someone else's
3 XP, when creating a new clone or the current "main body" is damaged for the first time in the scene
10 XP, when changing Dr. Hydras body to a new one or creating a new one/repairing a body for someone else with the help of technology Character set!== Distinctions ==≫ Smug and artful — Hydra is as quirky as a snake and on a subconscious level feels the weaknesses of the enemy. He trained this natural instinct not only for a fight, but also for dis-jokes and barbs at the most unforeseen moments. It doesn't help him make new friends or find himself a girl, but it makes fighting him unbearable.
≫ The cycle ends here — being a full-fledged doctor, Jesse was initially against violence and causing harm to others, and even more so killing. But after the incident with Carl, he took the lesson "with great power comes great responsibility" too literally, and the original Hippocratic Oath became part of his code of honor. He does not recognize villainy and believes that those like him should be better than this.
≫ Aberration — even though the full transformation into a reptile and Hydra passed by, the reptilian genes still make themselves felt from time to time making the guy more bestial. He quickly copes with the obvious manifestations of such a change. But sometimes the activation of the mutation is very imperceptible and he does not notice how he succumbs to instincts.

== Apex ==The reptilian genes mixed with Jesse's mutant factor made his body incredibly hardy and easily adaptable to any conditions, essentially making him a near-immortal life form. For this, he has to pay with periodic bouts of transformation and naughty instincts, but is this such a big price for superpowers? ..≫ Reactive adaptation — d8.
Jessie's cells change automatically and may even deliberately begin to "molt" in response to some kind of danger or stress from outside. It was this power that allowed him to survive the fight with Reptile.≫ Peak strength — d8.
Jesse's augmented physiology allows him to use his body in ways that would be extremely traumatic for normal people. He can remove the restriction from his body and dull his sense of pain to use over 100% of his physical strength.≫ Psychofield — d6.
Unbeknown to Jesse, he has some latent abilities that were never observed before or he did not observe them did not notice. One of these powers is a latent psychofield. Whether it appeared as a result of a mutation or whether it was Jesse's cells that adapted to the frequent rewriting of memory with the help of a helmet is unknown. He can affect the emotions or short-term memory of people near him.== Prospector of Knowledge ==There is no doubt that Dr. Hydra is a mad scientist. On the side of the good guys, but that doesn't make his creations any less insane. In addition to cloning, he explores all areas of the strange, from memory manipulation and transference to force fields and projections of the imagination. The sky is the limit!≫ Serpent King — d10.
The helmet on the Hydra's head is not just a piece of protective ammunition. It's also an almost indestructible bucket of bolts! The Serpent King constantly records Hydra's memory and data, allowing him to transfer memory between different bodies. In addition, it is equipped with powerful visors for analyzing the environment, which gives the Hydra something like the gift of foresight. Or so he says.≫ Low energy gloves — d6.
The Hydra is equipped with a pair of gloves that can generate and manipulate electricity.≫ Force field boots— d6.
Hydra's boots have a force field generator... not very practical, but they're echoes of his father's redesigned equipment.≫ SFX: Anything you can do i can do better. Step down Snake King once to create a d8 copy (minimum) of a Resource or Asset created by other character in the scene. Spend 1 PP to create a copy of a Resource or Asset with a die equal to the original.
≫ SFX: Quick Inventions. Add d6 and step up your effect die by +1 when using "Prospector of Knowledge" to create assets.
≫ SFX: Pounce! Add d6 and keep an additional effect die for each additional target.
≫ Limit: Desynchronization. Turn chosen power trait into a complication and remove the equal or less die from the Doom Pool. Activate an Opportunity to remove the complication and recover the power.
≫ Limit: Don't see it coming. Remove one of your Assets or Resources created in this scene to gain 1 PP. You cannot create the same Resource or Asset until the end of the current scene.
≫ Limit: Socially anxious. Start every scene with a Complication of the same name equal to the largest die in the doom pool. Complication cannot be removed by the character himself.

Can't 'ahld ooeht against de Cahloehmn and de moon, dis foehnny bastard! I swear to you, pal. Stay no mahre dan a mahnth..." — Casual visitor to a London pubTailor-made black double-breasted jacket. The ironed classic trousers are black like the jacket. They are complemented by a pair of polished, pointed-toed shoes dressed over a black sock. Black suspenders with a green geometric pattern that looks like scales are hidden under the jacket, as is a starched white shirt with a green vest worn over it. An emerald tie with a clip on it completes the look. The clip is silver, as is a pair of cufflinks on the sleeves.
The Hydra costume looks like an ordinary evening dress for some kind of dinner party at the city's beau monde. The only thing that sets it apart from other costumes is the large green hero symbol on the back. And the gadgets that the young man carries with him.
On his head sits a heavy silver helmet with a built-in visor, a crystal, and a dozen other modifications. This is a device that records his memory. And his main defense. White gloves with multifunctional projectors inside them sit tight on Hydra's hands. And unloading is hidden on the belt under the jacket: a lot of pockets with small gadgets for work hang on it.
Hydra's "evening attire" itself is also no ordinary three-piece suit. It is compacted in the manner of a military uniform. In addition, the tissue itself is created in the image and likeness of a young man's cells and can self-repair. But the hero's greatest pride is his shoes. They have special climbing devices built into them, allowing the Hydra to move almost on vertical surfaces if necessary!
In general, Hydra tries to create the impression of a "refined gentleman", as he himself admits, in order to dull the vigilance of the enemy on the streets. Guys in leather jackets hardly expect a good fight from a guy in a clean tailcoat. And his strategy surprisingly works!
Характер:"When i fihst saw him, i thought: this guy knows nawthing about the city. He's not from heeuh. He's not from the hood. Faw fuck sake!.. This guy dressed up like a rich boy faw a parade... faw a street fight with some goons from Manchestah! What a clown, i thought... but now i know - he`s not. Nah, man. NA-A-AH! He's not JUSTA clown. He just LOVES to show off. This fucking posah!" — Chappy from the streets of LondonJessie is an extreme form of struggle for an idea, when both sides of the argument run out of arguments, or one of the parties simply does not want to listen to them, and then fists speak instead of them. He cannot help the suffering and destitute on the street in any way directly. And can not help the villains legally. Therefore, JJ puts on a mask and becomes Doctor Hydra - a street vigilante and a fighter for justice.
In her mask, Hydra is the exact opposite of Jesse's everyday personality. He is just as active and talkative, but acts much more confidently. Modesty and awkwardness disappear from his speech. In their place come playful taunting of their opponents, sarcasm and a sense of superiority. Because of this, the inhabitants of the poorer areas of London often refer to him derisively as "posh boy" or "Doc Mock". He calls them "scoops" in response.
The Hydra never stoops to senseless cruelty. He seeks to help not only the victims of criminals, but also the supervillains themselves, often looking for methods and ways of rehabilitation. But he does not have a drop of sympathy for monsters consciously choosing the path of evil and violence. Especially to the most cruel of them. Hydra makes no exception to this rule for anyone, even if it's his friends...often ex-friends, or family members.
История:Real name: Jesse Jenkins | Aliases: Dr. Hydra, Doc Mock, Hydra
Occupation: vigilante, metabiologist | Affiliation: Hydra Legion
Status: not registered | Type: biological (?) | Code: WhiteJesse Jenkins was a young prodigy of Oxford uni: shrewd as his father, hardworking as his mother, sharp-witted, ingenious and all… but not without flaws and problems. He had no friends since childhood and grew up to be a self-reliant socially anxious person.
The situation was not helped by JJ's father either, as he was the world-famous supervillain Python. He knew about it since childhood. Jesse was worried about his father. Each crime of Python caused the boy to feel fear and guilt. And even more alienated him from those around, making boy closed.
Jesse himself received no powers. And oh boy, he was grateful for it!
Being an ordinary civilian, the guy was not threatened to become part of the family business and follow in his father's footsteps. His shoulders were free from all the pressure he could have had. As expected, after his father was caught for the last time, JJ finally tried to open up to people... but it was too little too late. He could not overcome himself and his fears.
So instead he hid himself behind scientific research in the fields of metabiologi. He was very successful as a scientist and inventor! Along the way, he met many colleagues who would help him in the future. A team gathered around Jesse. Professor Josef Mendelstein became his mentor and helped him get a research grant. Several fellow students from the university completed the research group.
And their future best friend Carl Harris completed their team. Karl was a wonderful scientist, one of the best metabiologists of that time, who tried to recreate the genes of superhumans inside his vipers… and was unlucky to find one of those snakes outside of terrarium and it bit him.
Jesse found his friend unconscious on the lab floor. The next morning Carl woke up not only alive, but feeling better than ever!
The man became stronger, taller, faster. And he continued to grow.
His skin began to flake off, rejuvenating the man from time to time. Emotions faded, as did pain. Eyes began to see in the infrared spectrum! Karl saw in these mutations the complete success of his research. Jesse suspected the worst.JJ took some of his friend's tissues for analysis, the results were shocking: Carl's body not only quickly mutated — his DNA rapidly decayed and rearranged, threatening the man not to live until the end of this year.
Jesse even repeated the experiment with the same snake on himself, infecting himself with a mutation (albeit not getting the same effect as Karl) and only after that turned to the scientist with the result of his analysis. Jesse was too flustered, rude and pushy when he told Carl the bad news. Friends quarreled.
The next morning, Carl accused Jesse of cheating and trying to steal his powers because he saw on the cameras how the young man repeated with a snake on himself. Yesterday's friction escalated into a quarrel that ended with JJ being kicked out of the lab.
Scientists began to look for a solution to the problem separately from each other. Karl continued to research snakes and try to improve the mutagen and the machine with which he transferred mutations to reptiles. Jesse explored his own body and his genome.
As a result, two weeks later, Jesse discovered that he still inherited one superpower from his parents: his body was unimaginably resistant to any outside influences and mutations! This made him the perfect guinea pig for experiments. In one more week, he was able to stabilize the "Viper strain" mutation in himself. But over the next five weeks, he didn't get any further than that.
Unfortunately, he could not implant his innate mutation into anyone else's body. And based on it, he could not find a cure for Carl. Jesse's decision... was only for Jesse. In his moment of greatest desperation, JJ suddenly realized that if he couldn't help Carl directly, he must look for an alternative solution. And he found him again in his cells. Like the bodies of starfish, the cells in Jessie's body became universal duplicators after they mutated!
The young man turned to his mentor, Professor Mendelstein, for help and asked him to share with him the developments in the technology of cloning and genome editing, as well as the fight against congenital diseases. The professor himself completed these studies due to ethical issues many years before his immigration from Germany. Human experiments were banned a long time ago and were not ethical.
The professor shared his research with the student, specifying why he needed them. Jesse replied "for self-experimentation". And after that he went to his father's old lair. So he found all the necessary equipment to start work on a cloning machine. He finished work on it in another month by Christmas. After that, the guy went to visit his friend for the first time in three months.
As it turned out, Karl also did not sit idle all this time!
Oooh, far from sitting idle! He also continued his research and reached a dead end at some point, understanding how to strengthen his mutation, but not reverse its effects. And then he turned for help to the only person who could help him. No, not to Professor Mendelstein. To the Column! Only he had contacts of mad scientists who experimented on people.
Karl became friends with one of these scientists and enlisted his help for his experiments. They got the DNA of a werewolf, some kind of alien and a couple of superhumans, introducing them into the body of Carl. It stopped the process of cell breakdown... but the price was high. Prior to this, the stable changes in his body had gone drastically, inflating Carl's body to an incredible size and turning him from an ordinary person into an ugly humanoid reptile, twisted and grotesque. Carl's mind was clouded.
When Jesse found his friend from Carl Harris inside the reptilian skull of Doctor Reptile, only fragments and memories remained, in refined and comical manners for such an image and love for his family. It was his family that became the first guinea pigs in turning into monsters.
Carl decided that if he could not become normal, then he would make "kinship" and strangeness a social norm! To do this, you just need to turn the entire population of London into monsters. It was this plan that the monster laid out for Jesse, who came to help him! And when Jesse refused, Carl remembered something else from his past life: hatred for an old friend.
They started fighting and Carl washed the floor with Jesse's body. Doctor Reptile was too strong! Only thanks to his mutation and the help of Carl's daughter turned into a goanna-like monster, Jesse was able to escape: the girl remembered him and helped to crawl away. The father did not forgive this and smeared it into porridge with a blow of the tail.
At that moment, JJ realized that his friend could not be saved and that he was a danger to society. And he clearly understood that he survived only thanks to good luck and the new properties of his body. He needs help. And not the help of a standard hero team, but someone he can trust. But who? Jesse has no friends but himself!
t that very moment, a disgusting idea pierced the young man's mind. Disgusting but brilliant! Returning to his father's lair, he installed a sample of his DNA into a cloning machine and began fixing his father's bank robbery equipment. He finished with everything in just three days, creating an entire army and weapons.
On the Christmas weekend when Doctor Reptile launched his plan and attacked the holiday parade with his army of reptiles and a pathogen that turns people into monsters, Jesse was already waiting for him. No, not Jesse anymore - Doctor Hydra! He blocked the path of the monster with his army of clones.
A bloody massacre began during which Hydra prevented a terrorist attack on the square, grabbed Carl and injected him with a suppressive mutagen compound and made his debut as a superhero. This was the end of his life as a civilian and the beginning of a secret anti-villain campaign.
Dr. Hydra was everywhere and nowhere thanks to the clones. His secret identity became a very famous topic in the world heroic community. Many claimed that he was the strongest hero in the world in terms of skill and he time and time again proved those claims by defeating villains, new and old.
And even though he saw little point in constantly fighting on the street because "he only fought the symptom, but not the disease itself," Jesse still continued to catch criminals on the street while reviving his metabiology laboratory with the help of former comrades and new discoveries.
Now his goal was not just to study the metapowers of people, but also to find a way to help those who cannot control them or somehow suppress the most dangerous aspects of the abilities of criminals without harm to their health. And most importantly, find a way to return Carl to his body and mind. He remained in the metahuman prison.
The plan went on without change. Jesse started his own company and secured government support. Yes, outside of his superhero personality, he remained unsociable and lonely, but he was satisfied with his position.
Until one day Dr. Hydra heard a call for help... and answered it without hesitation!
